About the Role
As a Business Development Representative (BDR) at Scilife, you’ll be the first point of contact for potential customers, focusing primarily on driving new outbound opportunities while supporting inbound follow-up when required.
You’ll identify and qualify new business prospects through targeted outreach, creative prospecting, and close collaboration with Marketing, Demand Gen, and Account Executives to create high-quality opportunities that align with our ideal customer profile (ICP).
Your mission is to connect life science companies with technology that truly makes an impact - helping organizations improve quality, efficiency, and compliance through Scilife’s innovative eQMS platform.
Key Responsibilities
- Outbound Prospecting: Proactively identify and engage potential leads through cold calling, email outreach, and social selling using Salesloft, Lusha, and HubSpot.
- Pipeline Generation: Build and maintain a strong top-of-funnel pipeline through creative outbound initiatives, leveraging multiple channels and campaign insights.
- Inbound Support: Respond to and qualify inbound leads from webinars, content downloads, and website forms, ensuring timely follow-up and accurate qualification.
- Lead Qualification: Conduct discovery calls to assess fit, interest, and readiness using frameworks like BANT or MEDDICC before passing opportunities to Account Executives.
- Collaboration: Partner closely with the Demand Gen, Marketing, and Sales teams to refine messaging, share insights, and optimize outbound strategy.
- CRM & Data Accuracy: Maintain clean and detailed activity records in HubSpot, logging all outreach and follow-ups for accurate reporting.
- Continuous Improvement: Test and iterate on new outreach approaches, sequences, and messaging to improve conversion rates and pipeline performance.

Requirements
Technical skills:
- 1–2+ years of experience in a BDR, SDR, or Inside Sales role (preferably in SaaS).
- Proven experience with outbound prospecting tools and workflows (HubSpot, Salesloft, Lusha, or similar).
- Understanding of marketing-to-sales processes, lead scoring, and campaign workflows.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills in English.
- Interest in learning about life sciences, SaaS, and compliance processes (prior industry experience required).
- Self-motivated, data-driven, and able to manage multiple priorities.
Nice to Have:
- Prior experience in SaaS solutions with a focus on life sciences, regulated or compliance-related industries.
- Additional fluency in German or French (preferred; an advantage)
- Understanding of qualification frameworks such as MEDDICC or BANT.
- Familiarity with lead intent data, account-based prospecting, or campaign alignment with Marketing.
