Q&A Session
In this free session, you’ll see a practical demonstration of how Scilife’s Print & Reconciliation solution works, and you’ll learn how to ensure traceability, digitalize the print and reconciliation process, and avoid data integrity issues.
How can I try the Print & Reconciliation module out? What do I need to request?
You need to enable the tool in your test environment. To do so, you have to log in to Scilife, edit your user profile, and enable the print & reconciliation solution. Secondly, you need to submit a ticket asking us to send the virtual printer application, the MSI application, for your test environment.
The MSIs are set up for each individual environment. So we would need to specifically create the MSI application for your particular test environment and share it with you so you can install it on the computer.
Of course, if you have any questions when you are up and running, testing out the tool, definitely reach out to us over the service desk, and we’ll be more than happy to get back to you.
Can we use the same virtual printer application for all the environments?
The MSI application of the virtual printer is different for each environment. So, if you first try the tool, we will send you the virtual printer application for your test environment. If you decide to go ahead with it and validate the module, you will need to uninstall the printer for your test environment. We will send you the MSI application for your production environment, and you will need to install it.
The virtual printer applications get updated with every new release of the module, and it’s super simple to install.
What would happen if you use the solution and think that it’s set up in your production environment, but it’s actually the MSI for your test environment? The information of the print will travel to your test environment and not your production environment. The MSI ensures that print information always travels to the environment in which it is set up. And that’s why it’s important to uninstall and install it when you want to work with it in production.
Is it necessary to have a manual scanner for reconciliation?
No, it isn’t. You can introduce the numbers for reconciliation manually. However, we recommend that you have a scanner because, of course, the manual process can lead to errors while introducing the numbering. So it’s always better to have a scanner to automate the process and ensure that the right barcode travels into the system and the right page is reconciled.
How is the barcode number assigned between different groups? Is it possible that the barcode number will be repeated in different groups?
No, the barcode is always going to be unique. You even saw that upon reprinting a document of that same batch record, I got a new barcode. Why? Because otherwise, you wouldn’t know which group it was related to. Just like IDs in Scilife are unique, the barcodes are also unique for each page, regardless of the different groups.
The headline and subheader tells us what you're offering, and the form header closes the deal. Over here you can explain why your offer is so great it's worth filling out a form for.
